Drivers and passengers leaving their apartment unnecessarily are fined 100 manat according to Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (for violation of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes). Those who do not comply with the lawful demands of the police and repeat the same action are subject to stricter disciplinary measures, those people are detained and arrested by court decision.

An additional police post was established in Novkhani settlement by the Binagadi District State Traffic Police Department to strengthen control over access to Baku. The citizens driving from Sumgayit to capital city and vice versa are restricted in this post. Taking into account the current situation, special rooms were set up in the post area as a precautionary measure for those who feel unwell. Places for normal feeding and rest of police and military servicemen of Internal Troops serving at the post were also organized.

Be noted that precautionary measures against the spread of the coronavirus were further restricted. Serious punitive measures are taken against citizens violating applied rules.
