The ceremonial review was conducted in the Baku-located X military unit of the Internal Troops

On May 2, under the instruction of the Minister of the Interior, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) conducted a military inspection in the Baku-located X military unit of the Internal Troops.

At the event, with the participation of the Deputy Minister, the Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Shahin Mammadov, the state of training of servicemen involved in ensuring public order and security during the IV Islamic Solidarity Games, providing them with uniforms, equipment, and vehicles were checked.

Lieutenant-General Sh.Mammadov estimated the competitions to be held in Azerbaijan as an indicator of the global stature of our country, as well as a component of the achievements. He noted that Islamic Solidarity Games will serve to strengthen unity and solidarity between Muslim peoples and countries of Islamic world. It was also noted that just before the Games and during the competitions, which will be held in 20 sports, the important tasks of preparing and fully maintaining the Troops, recruited along with other security agencies to protect public order and ensure public safety, have been fully implemented.  

The commander of the military unit informed about the inspection of all the territories, objects, where the competitions will be organized, about the relevant measures carried out. It was noted that the access of persons and vehicles without special permission to these territories, as well as other unfavorable situations that may arise, will be completely prevented. An appropriate plan-report was prepared in connection with the organization of the service, operational headquarters were set up. The leadership of the military units visually acquainted with the places of service. Special trainings were conducted on the protection of the objects entrusted to them, provision of access control at checkpoints. Also, the participation of servicewomen was provided, which will ensure the access control at the training stage, in the relevant trainings.

Then, an inspection of the supply of special forces, personnel drawn to carry out services along the perimeter and the service of stewards, as well as servicewomen was carried out.

Shahin Mammadov, who highly appreciated the training of personnel, gave specific instructions in the direction of coordinating the joint activities of law enforcement bodies and troops, organization of relationships with the organizers of the event, the relevant government agencies. He wished success to the staff in this complex and responsible work and expressed confidence that the tasks ahead will be fulfilled at a high level.
