Reception at the Ministry of Internal Affairs


On May 13th, 2022, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov received a delegation headed by the Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Turkey Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Vilayat Eyvazov noted with satisfaction that the relations between our fraternal countries have further strengthened as a result of the political will and mutual visits of the heads of states.

Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov stressed that attention is paid to all spheres of public life in our country, including strengthening and development of the security sector. He emphasized that the police and the internal troops of Azerbaijan function in a professional manner, being the leading law enforcement agency in the field of public order protection and crime prevention.

Stressing the high level of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of two countries, Minister Vilayat Eyvazov noted that the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs attaches particular importance to the intensive enhancement of relations with the law enforcement agencies of the fraternal country, including international cooperation. He stated that these relations are carried out primarily based on the interstate agreements on mutual legal assistance, experience exchange, development of friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Mr. Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu highly appreciated the mutually beneficial cooperation between the relevant structures of two countries. He stressed that he would continue to make efforts to develop bilateral relations, and also noted that such cooperation and exchange of experience serve the interests of our fraternal peoples and states.

The reception was attended by the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in our country and the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
