The Minister of Internal Affairs received the Ambassador

Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov received the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to our country Bahrom Ashrafkhanov.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Minister greeted the guest, congratulated him on the appointment and expressed hope for further expansion of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations.

Then the Minister informed the Ambassador on the reforms carried out in our country in all social spheres, including the internal affairs bodies. He spoke about the success achieved in fighting crime and protecting public order, and noted the operational conditions being under full control. It was noted that the control of the criminal situation and ensuring stability first of all created favorable conditions for life and work of our citizens, as well as foreigners, in safety.

Minister Vilayat Eyvazov said that a number of signed agreements created opportunities for cooperation of the ministries of internal affairs of both countries and brought the coordinated fight against crime to a successful level.

Ambassador Bahrom Ashrafkhanov expressed gratitude to the Minister of Internal Affairs for the warm welcome. He was pleased with the rapid development of Azerbaijan in all areas. He also stressed that our countries will do everything possible to further expand relations between our peoples and the relevant structures of our States.
