Allegations of resistance to police officers are unfounded

08.07.2020

Some news sites have investigated footage of a group of individuals disobeying police lawful demands.

These individuals were engaged in illegal street trade, which did not comply with the rules of the special quarantine regime and was accompanied by violations of existing preventive measures. Unfortunately, some news sites present the fact, which does not correspond to the essence, as an "attack on the police."

In this regard, we state that any allegations of assault or resistance against police officers are unfounded. Thus, brothers Mirgalib and Mirjavad Aliyev, residents of Ujar region and currently living in rent in Khatai region, created a controversial situation by not complying with the legal requirements of police officers who carry out control and preventive measures to comply with the rules of the special quarantine regime.

They deliberately disobeyed the police when they were asked to provide proof of identity. When they were taken to the police station for identification, the father of the brothers tried to obstruct the police. In this case, the police officers took the persons to the 36th Police Station, identified them, and imposed administrative sanctions on each of them under Articles 454 and 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
