01.06.2020

Yesterday, at about 19 p.m., an attempt to carry out a short flash mob on the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day took place on Fountain Square in the Sabail District of the capital, contrary to the rules of the special quarantine regime.

This attempt, accompanied by violation of the social distancing in a crowded public place, as well as existing preventive measures, was stopped by the relevant employees of the Baku City Police Department and the Baku City Executive Power; the crowd of spectators was dispersed and free movement of the population was provided.

Following the relevant investigation, criminal proceedings were initiated against the organizer of the short event, Akbar Rakhmanov, under the relevant article of the Criminal Code, and appropriate measures were taken against 50 people who violated the special quarantine regime under article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offences.

We would like to mention again that since the fight against the COVID-19 virus during a pandemic is a long-term process, the preventive measures against the disease should turn into a part of the daily lifestyle of every person, everyone should follow the rules of personal hygiene, as well as medical and preventive measures in the current situation. A medical mask protecting the respiratory tract should be used, and a distance of 2 meters should be observed when contacting people.
