A VAZ 2107 car belonging to a resident of the capital, Kanan Garayev, living Ramana settlement of Sabunchu district, was stolen. The victim appealed to the 12th Police Division of the Sabunchu District Police Department. Another 3 Sabunchu residents appealed to the police with similar complaints and reported that their cars of the same brand were stolen at various times.

According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of urgent operational-search measures conducted by members of the 12th Police Division of Sabunchu DPD, resident of the capital, Haji Mammadov, a suspect in committing these thefts, was detained and turned over to the investigation. After admitting the offences, he claimed that he have stolen a total of 4 cars and sold their spare parts. Haji Mammadov also admitted to stealing from 1 market and 1 house in Sabunchu district.

Materials collected on the fact in the 12th Police Division were transferred to the Investigation Division of the Sabunchu District Police Department for further investigation. Operational-search and investigative actions in respect of Haji Mammadov are continuing.
