The large and effective use of experience, knowledge and capabilities of police veterans have been referred in all regions of our country in recent years. Their activities have been strengthened in the provision of public safety, in the prevention and detection of crimes, in planning measures regarding the search of accused persons, in the personnel training and education, in the development of professionalism and in the promotion of legal knowledge among the population.

Service rooms provided for Boards of veterans in most territorial police office allow them to carry out their activities at the level of necessary requirements.

Board members are very active in the implementation of tasks, periodically visit educational institutions, and provide detailed information about the fact that religious extremism and radical trends are crime for humanity and contradict to coexistence rules, as well as, about the  loss of drug trafficking, the consequences of early marriages in meetings with officials representing different sectors of society. Special attention is paid to education of youth, in the spirit of devotion to the national-spiritual values, patriotism.

During the first quarter of this year police veterans have held 980 meetings with young people at secondary schools, lyceums and gyms. 1550 criminal cases have been solved in their presence.
 
Some of veterans have been awarded by the authority MIA and Council of Veterans of War, Labor and Armed Forces of Azerbaijan Republic for their effective operations.
