As per the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the regional citizen reception schedule, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, held another citizen reception at the Gusar Region Police Department on February 6 and 7.
The minister first visited the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev in Gusar region and paid tribute to his memory.
After listening to the appeals of 335 citizens who attended a reception at the Gusar Region Police Department from the Gusar, Guba, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, and Khizi regions and cities, the minister issued instructions to the heads of the relevant main directorates and departments of the ministry to resolve their concerns. Most of the appeals were resolved on-site with the appropriate measures being taken.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, General-Colonel V. Eyvazov, tasked the police chiefs with applying more effective measures to ensure public safety and combat crime, and to review citizens' appeals in a timely and objective manner.
As part of his visit, the Colonel General V. Eyvazov conducted an inspection parade in connection with the recruitment of new personnel as private and junior commanding staff in the region's police force.
A total of 263 individuals, including 34 veterans of the Patriotic War, who met the recruitment criteria, were allowed to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
