On July 20, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, received a delegation led by Army General Ali Chardakchi.

The minister welcomed the visitors and reminded them with pleasure that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are improving on ever-increasing line, the great leader Heydar Aliyev's services in this field, his "One nation, two states" policy was successfully implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and as a result of the political will and mutual visits of the heads of state, the relations between our friendly and brotherly countries entered a qualitatively new stage.

The Minister expressed his gratitude for the organization under his direction placing great emphasis on the development of relations and cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, including the General Command of the Gendarmerie, and for the significant assistance provided by the General Command of the Gendarmerie of Turkey in the formation of the Internal Troops, its transformation into an institution that complies with modern requirements, and the advancement of the profession.

Army General Ali Chardakchi, who expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and detailed information, expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan, with Baku being one of the most beautiful capitals and safest cities in the world, with the dynamic and rapid development of our country, and at the same time with the transformation of the Internal Troops into a mobile organization with high professionalism and combat capability.

He highly appreciated the useful cooperation between the relevant bodies of the two countries and emphasized that as "one nation, two states" Turkey always stands by Azerbaijan, they will spare no efforts for the development of their army and Internal Troops, cooperation and exchange of experience serve the interests of our brotherly peoples and countries.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Commander of the Internal Troops Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov had a meeting with the delegation led by Army General Ali Chardakchi at the General Directorate of the Internal Troops.
Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov noted that the relations of friendship and military cooperation between the General Command of the Gendarmerie of Turkey and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have further expanded. He also gave detailed information to the guests about the combat path and development of the troops in the Patriotic War.

The delegation of the friendly and fraternal nation learned about the structure of training at the Higher Military School of the Internal Troops, the surroundings made for cadets, and the "N" military units stationed in Baku during their visit.
