A large-scale operational meeting was held at the Baku City Police Department

On January 18, with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, a large-scale operational meeting dedicated to the results of 2022 was held at the Main Police Department of Baku city.
Minister V. Eyvazov generally positively assessed the service activities of the capital's police in the field of combating crime and ensuring public security in 2022. Minister demanded from the leadership of the Baku City Main Police Department, as well as related structural institutions and district police departments in 2023, to focus on strengthening discipline among the personnel in their official activities, on resolute prevention of crime and other illegal acts, reliable protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, and most importantly, ensuring a high level of citizen satisfaction.
Then the head of the Baku City Police Department, Police Major General Akbar Ismayilov made a report on the results of the reporting period and the tasks set.
Speaking around the report, the heads of the district police departments of the capital reported on the work done, the results obtained, and at the same time on the planned measures to eliminate shortcomings and deficiencies in performance.
Concluding the operational meeting, the minister touched upon the importance of preventing traffic jams and congestion in the capital together with the relevant authorities, removing cars illegally parked on the side of the road and impeding normal traffic, as well as eliminating shortcomings in passenger traffic so that citizens can comfortably and safely get home.  
Paying attention to the fight against drug trafficking, which has become a general problem, Minister V. Eyvazov spoke about the importance of further strengthening anti-drug propaganda and holding regular meetings with young people in educational institutions for this purpose.
Colonel-General V. Eyvazov noted with satisfaction that the necessary conditions had been created for the fulfillment of the duties assigned to him by law at a high level, and the bodies and departments of internal affairs were comprehensively covered by state care and expressed confidence that in response to this high attention and trust, the personnel of the Baku City Police Garrison would continue to fulfill their duty.
