Minister V.Eyvazov received the delegation of Turkey

The delegation led by the Deputy General Director of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Major-General Resul Hologhlu has arrived in our country on a working visit to attend the 7th working meeting on police cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Turkey to be held in Baku.

Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov received the delegation on July 6.
Welcoming the guests, the minister noted with satisfaction that relations, strategic cooperation and mutual relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are deepening. The minister noted that stability has been established, which is one of the main factors contributing to the rapid development of the Republic of Azerbaijan in recent years, and its irreversibility has been ensured, the full control over the criminal situation and restoration of stability created favorable conditions for the safe living and functioning of our citizens, as well as foreigners, including Turkish businessmen in our republic.

It was noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with the law enforcement agencies of fraternal Turkey both in bilateral and multilateral formats. The normative-legal base of these relations is primarily based on interstate agreements on the provision of mutual legal assistance, exchange of experience, comprehensive development of friendly and strategic cooperation.

Minister Vilayat Eyvazov expressed his confidence that the working meetings held on police cooperation would give an impetus to the further expansion of relations between the Ministries of Internal Affairs.

Head of the delegation, Major-General Resul Hologhlu expressed his gratitude for the reception and hospitality. He stressed that the cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan is not like the relations between any two states, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that our friendly and brotherly countries always take a single position and make joint efforts against global problems, which are a serious obstacle to the establishment of peace and stability in the region, including all manifestations of organized crime, rapid development of Azerbaijan and stability established in our country.

A number of other issues were also discussed at the meeting, which was held in the atmosphere of friendship and kindness. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey Jahit Baghchi also attended the reception.
