On June 10, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the 2021-2022 academic year graduation was held at the Higher Military School of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event was attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov.

First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and servicemen and police officers who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, who died in the line of duty, was commemorated, and the national anthem of Azerbaijan was played.

Deputy Minister – Commander of the Internal Troops, Lieutenant General Shahin Mammadov noted that the graduation ceremony was one of the significant events in the life of the Higher Military School and reported on the path of development of the educational institution, the works done to strengthen its material and technical base.

Addressing the young officers, Minister Vilayat Eyvazov said with satisfaction that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev constantly monitors the improvement of combat readiness of troops, provided them with modern weapons and equipment, and made many important decisions to strengthen social protection of the personal staff. It is the result of this high attention that the Internal Troops have become an armed unit capable of carrying out the set combat missions at a high level.

Colonel-General V. Eyvazov noted that the servicemen of the Internal Troops demonstrated heroism and patriotism also fought in the front line during the Patriotic War, which resulted in a great victory under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr.Ilham Aliyev, and that the presence of graduates of the Higher Military School among them is a clear confirmation of the determination of the cadets in this educational institution to form in the spirit of loyalty to the state, the people and the military oath.

He also noted with satisfaction that in the post-victory period, the personnel of the Internal Troops served together with the police officers in the liberated territories.
Expressing gratitude to the General Command of the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Turkey and military specialists for their undeniable role in training highly qualified personnel for the Internal Troops, Minister Eyvazov stressed the importance of business relations with similar educational institutions in other countries.

Noting that a new era has begun in the lives of graduates, the Minister of Internal Affairs congratulated the young officers, their parents and relatives on the successful completion of the Higher Military School, thanked the management and officer-teacher staff of the university that train professionals for the Internal Troops and wished them success.

At the end of his speech, Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov assured the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev that the personal staff of the internal affairs bodies and Internal Troops will continue to serve the people and the state faithfully and work hard to completely and properly fulfill the set tasks.
