The Minister of Internal Affairs held another reception in Lankaran

On the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in accordance with the schedule of reception of citizens by the heads of central executive bodies in cities and regions, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov held next reception in connection with the issues related to the activities and powers of internal affairs bodies in Lankaran City-Region Police Department on March 30.
The Minister of Internal Affairs first visited the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev, paid tribute to his memory and laid flowers on it.

Afterwards, the Minister, receiving 71 residents from Lankaran, Jalilabad, Masalli, Astara, Yardimli, Lerik cities and regions in the administrative building of the City-Region Police Department, heard their appeals on the activities of the police authorities and gave instructions to the main departments of the Ministry and heads of the relevant departments to promptly resolve their problems. The vast majority of appeals were resolved on the spot.

The citizens who came to the reception thanked the President for the attention and care shown to them, the organization of such receptions in regions, the prompt response to applications and appeals by the heads of state agencies, and the sensitive attitude.
During the visit, the Minister also visited the military unit of the Internal Troops of the MIA in Lankaran.

Colonel-General V.Eyvazov inquired about the living conditions, nutrition and health of servicemen, got acquainted with the supply of weapons, car and armoured vehicles, landscaping and construction works in the area, as well as watched special tactical exercises. Highly appreciating the professionalism and combat training of police officers and servicemen, the Minister gave his instructions and recommendations.

Then, Colonel-General V. Eyvazov held a series of inspections at Lankaran City-Region Police Department on the recruitment of ordinary and junior police officers to the vacant positions in police authorities on the region.
Young people living in the surrounding cities and regions, who want to serve in the police authorities, attended in the review of the ranks. 46 people eligible for recruitment in the internal affairs bodies, of which 10 were participants of the Patriotic War, and 6 were members of the families of martyrs, were admitted to the next stage of the selection round.
