Opening the event with the introductory speech, the Senior Assistant for personnel affairs of the Chief of Baku city Main Police Department, the police colonel Ali Valiyev conveyed congratulations of the Chief of the Main Department, Police Major General Mirgafar Seyidov to the participants of the ceremony. It was noted that the jubilee medals "The 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani police 1918-1920" were granted to employees who performed exemplary duties in the internal affairs bodies, achieved high results in the service, veterans, persons taking an active part in combating crime, ensuring public safety, and having special merits in the development of police bodies.

Further, with the participation of the Chief of the Personnel Department, Colonel Elchin Asadov, veterans were awarded medals.

Veterans expressed deep gratitude to Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov for the high trust he had shown. They noted that they will continue to take part in the protection of public order, security, stability, and in combating crime in our country.
