The traffic police continue to conduct preventive measures in the capital

Traffic policemen further strengthened measures to combat drivers rudely violating rules in Baku. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, traffic police continue to take measures to improve traffic safety in Baku, prevent accidents and intensify the combat against drivers who violate rules at night.

The last such an event, held on the territory of the capital, was mainly directed against drivers driving a car in a state of intoxication, who did not obey the lawful order of the police to "stop", driving a vehicle without having driving licenses and committing other violations of the rules.

During the event on the territory of the Binagadi district, the driver of the Mercedes car was given a sign to stop for violation of the rules of the road. However, the driver did not obey the order of the police and continued to move. Then the driver, detained by the traffic police in Rasulzade settlement, refused to provide his documents.

In the course of preventive measures carried out by the traffic police, drivers were found driving a car in a state of intoxication. During the preliminary inspection it became known that the driver of the Dodge car Sahhat Mammadov, who was detained in the Nasimi district, was driving vehicle drunk. Despite the invitation to go to the medical station to conduct a survey on the alcohol content in the body, he refused. Then, the degree of intoxication of the driver who agreed to undergo a physical examination was determined and the protocol was created.
Educational talks were held with the drivers detained by the traffic police, the need to be more responsible for driving was stressed. Such enlightening activities will be continued by the employees of the State Traffic Police of the Main Police Department of Baku.

It should be noted that in the period from the beginning of 2018 until August 20 on the territory of Baku for violation of traffic rules, the inspectors compiled 410 thousand administrative protocols. Of these protocols, 7181 against those who was driving vehicle drunk, 216 against those who committed auto-hooliganism, 1,209 against those who did not observe the rules of overtaking and maneuvers, 19,327 against those who continued driving on the red traffic light.
