Contest announcement due to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Police

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announces republic contests for nominations that lighten and cover the activities of the internal affairs bodies.
Contest topics and the general rules:
1.    The history of the creation and formation of the Azerbaijani police;
2.    Activity and the gained experience of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic in the Soviet period. Selfless service of militia officers during the war of 1941-1945;
3.    The gathered experience of the Azerbaijani police during the first years of independence. Control over the criminal situation in the country, restoration and protection of order and stability in the process of building the rule of law state;
4.    The path of service and struggle, passed by the Azerbaijani police, since the first days of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia;
5.    The selfless service of the police in the disclosure of serious and especially serious crimes in the prevention of coup attempts, and during the investigation;
6.    Activity of police officers in the direction of protecting human rights and freedoms, and of legal education of citizens;
7.    International cooperation of the Azerbaijani police, and its relationship with international police organizations;
8.    Reforms carried out in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, and organization of the service at the level of modern requirements. New structural units created to protect order in the country with the help of more modern methods and the results of their activity based on the use of information technologies;
9.    The role of special purpose institutions in improving and further strengthening police personnel;
10.    Application of new technologies and scientific innovations in medical institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
11.    Physical training of employees of internal affairs bodies. The role of Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the successes gained by sportsmen. 
12.    Relations of police with society;

The contest is held on the nominations "The best television film", "The best essay" and "The best song".
Requirements for the presented television film (broadcast), story and song:
1.    Each author can participate in the contest only for one nomination.
2.    Presented works should correspond to certain topics.
3.    The works prepared for the contest must be submitted to the Special Commission founded in the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Regulations for admission of works:
1.    TV film (program) broadcasted on any television channel, and songs on CD, 1 copy of press organ (newspaper, magazine) in which the essay is published.
2.    Electronic version of the work (with Arial (12) font– on the CD) – 1 copy
3.    The printed form of the work on A4 basis – sheet music of the song.
(The author's signature must not be indicated) – 3 copies
Required documents:
1.    Information about the participant
2.    Identity card and its copy
3.    Personal TIN and its copy
4.    Personal bank details (bank account opened through TIN and the document about account activity which is confirmed by the bank).

The records and documents submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs are not returned.
•    The contest starts on 28th of February  and ends on 30th of May in 2018.
•    Creative works should be submitted to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the person himself/herself every day (except for Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 16:00.
•     If the documents are incomplete or they don`t reflect the truth, the work is not allowed to participate in the contest.

NOTE: Creative persons operating in the regions can submit their records by their own or through an authorized representative.

Assessment criteria:
– topic coverage, research,     justification
- informative part of materials for viewers, listeners and readers
– language and stylistic features of the submitted work, its artistic-aesthetic level
– objectivity, equity, impartiality and responsibility
– protection of public interests


The works are rated by the 10-point grading system, the maximum score is 50. Rewarding works submitted for the contest.

3 winners are determined in each direction;
I place - 3000 AZN
II place - 2000 AZN
III place - 1000 AZN
