The Chief Main Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with the Ministry of Ecologynvironment and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic, continues to execute the relevant actions towards the prevention of some conditions such as disposal of domestic waste outside of garbage containers in cities and regions of the Republic, forests, parks, health-care, tourism zones, sanitary protection zones of water sources and mineral springs, coastal zones of the Caspian Sea and beaches, piling up of industrial and domestic wastes pile-up, pollution and contamination of waters.

During the joint measures over the past period of the current year, having infringed the requirements of Article 244 of the Code of Administrative Offences (soil contamination and degradation), Article 266 (violation of law on the production and household waste) and Article 271 (failure to comply with environmental protection requirements during the picking-up and burning of industrial and household waste) of the Code of Administrative Offences in Sabail, Sabunchu, Surakhani, Khatai, Binagadi, Khazar, Absheron districts and in the territory of Sumgait city, 52 physical, legal entities and officials were brought to the administrative responsibility and the penalties imposed on them amounted to 81.500 AZN.

As a result of the measures carried out by police bodies of the citiesy and regions during the said period, 713 people in total who have violated the requirements of the above-mentioned Articles of the Code of Administrative Offences were brought to the administrative responsibility.
