Special rules will be applied on the capital city streets and roads during IV Islamic Solidarity Games.

The head of the department of Baku city Executive Power Khalid Alakbarov gave information at press conference held on March 15.

It was noted that in order to provide secure and effective organization of IV Islamic Solidarity Games which will be held on May 12-22 the restrictions will be imposed on road traffic and parking around competition places. The main purpose of these attempts is to minimize troubles which will affect the life of residents residing and the activities of companies located at this territory. 

The inspection zone of road traffic will be established directly around competition places and only transport vehicles with special pass may enter these zones. The entrance of other transport vehicles without pass document to this zone will be prohibited.

Taking into consideration people residing and business objects located at the territory of “Bayil Arena”, Weightlifting Academy, “AZAL Arena”, Baku Tennis Academy the permission for entrance and exit from competition places to these places will be given. Taking into consideration that there are no accommodation buildings and companies in the inspection zones of competition places there will be no pass for these territories.


The permissions will be given by Baku city Executive Power. People residing and companies located in inspection zones of road traffic that will be established around competition places must register in Housing and utilities sector of appropriate distircts from March 14 till March 31, 2017.

The head of public relations department of Main State Traffic Police Department, Colonel Kamran Aliyev has noted that the restrictions will be imposed on the parking of transport vehicles around all competition places. The police will keep these territories under control and parked automobiles will be evacuated to penalty areas.


In general the inspection zones of road traffic and parking will function from May 1 till May 25 and it is recommended to citizens with personal car to use public transport.
