The crime committed in Narimanov district under non-obvious circumstances has been solved as the result of investigation and operational-investigative activities of the employees of internal affairs and prosecution's bodies.

According to press services of the General Prosecutor and the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the basis of  the information about the body of Huseynov Firudin Baghir (year of birth: 1953) with marks of violence found in his apartment on February 5, at 6.00 p.m. the investigation group of prosecutor and policemen together with medico-legal expert reviewed the crime site and the corpse. The material evidences, fingerprints were taken and other necessary urgent procedural acts were implemented.

According to the article 120.1 of Criminal Code (willful homicide) the criminal case was opened in district prosecutor in relation to the fact, the appropriate expert assessment was commissioned.

As there were sound suspicions that the crime was committed by previously convicted Mammadov Zakir Elkhan, he was arrested as the suspect and brought to the investigation.
